Some Thoughts about a 90-Day Marketing Plan for Your Company

It’s the time of year when the marketing plan implemented in 2010 needs to be evaluated and plans made for the New Year.  Rather than creating a one-year or a five-year marketing plan, why not consider a 90-day plan?  There are several reasons for considering such a plan:

*It’s vital in this economy to watch where your marketing dollars are going.

*You will want to track how effectively your marketing campaigns are particularly with the effusion of new money that the company has received.

The data that are received during the 90-day period can be used to create a baseline you can use to track your grand marketing plan.  Plus, adjustments can more easily be made if something is not working.  A 90-day plan helps you to meet the changes that occur in this new era of growth of the company.

When do you get started?  TODAY!  A new marketing plan will revitalize the company and bring excitement to a company that has been tied-up with financial concerns, the day-to-day work, and past marketing efforts.

Ready?  OK!  We need to spend some time evaluating and answering the following questions:

*What marketing worked well for you in 2008?  Why?

*What marketing worked not so well in 2008?  Why?

*What marketing efforts failed in 2008?  Why?

*What marketing did well in 2009?  Why?

*What marketing did not so well for you in 2009?

*What marketing failed in 2009?  Why?

*What are the target markets in the next 90 days?

*Will the marketing geography change?

*Will we target new consumers with different demographics?

*What marketing vehicles will we use in the next 90 days?  Why?

*We need to work on enhancing, concentrating, and revising our marketing messages by doing what?

*What is the 90-day marketing budget?
